Meet LaShanda Turenne

LaShanda S. Turenne is a Licensed Professional Counselor with Christ Counseling Ministry of Wichita Falls. She provides faith-integrated, trauma-informed counseling for adults and couples, with clinical focus areas that include relationship and marital distress, intimacy concerns, sexual wellness, shame-based narratives, boundaries, and emotional regulation. LaShanda  is a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist – Individual (CCTS-I), a Certified Integrative Sex and Couples Therapy Professional through training with Tammy Nelson, trained in Brainspotting (a trauma therapy approach), and a Certified Christian Counselor. She especially enjoys working with adults and couples—particularly those navigating faith and sexuality, identity, confidence, boundaries, and relational repair.
Born and raised in The Bahamas and shaped by life and community in multiple regions of the U.S., LaShanda brings a multicultural lens that helps clients explore their stories from a plethora of perspectives—allowing therapy to be tailored to what each client truly needs. She is also completing doctoral-level training in clinical sexology, further strengthening her ability to bridge scholarship and practice in culturally responsive, compassionate care.
